History

1925   REO BORIS VON WOLFF founded in Berlin.
1941   Representation opens in the Netherlands, “Nederlandsche REO Weerstandenfabriek”.
1946   Set-up of production site in Solingen (Wald).
1965   New factory is constructed in the Bruehler Strasse in Solingen.
REO ELEKTRONIK is formed.
1977   Sales and service office in France opens, REO VARIAC.
1981   Acquisition of the company SETZERMANN in Pfarrkirchen.
1985   Acquisition of the company RISTRA in Munich.
1989   Sales office opens in Switzerland, REO Elektronik  AG.
Acquisition of the company PMR in Essen
1990   Sales and service offi ce opens in the UK, REO (UK) LTD.
1991   IBK in Kyritz is founded
1996   Reorganisation of the REO group. Three divisions are created under the REO umbrella:
  • REO TRANSFORMERS - including IBK and Setzermann
  • REO ELECTRONIC
  • REO TEST ENGINEERING
Sales office opens in Belgium, REO Engineering Services S.A.
1997   Expansion of our product range.
The introduction, development, manufacture and sales of high-quality filters, frequency converters for vibratory feeders, braking resistors for drive engineering, chokes, planar transformers and test loads.
2000   REO BORIS VON WOLFF celebrates its 75-year-anniversary.
Sales and service offi ce opens in Italy, REO ITALIA S.r.l.
Sales and service offi ce opens in the USA, REO-USA, Inc.
2002   REO TRANSFORMATOREN GMBH with its production sites in Pfarrkirchen and Kyritz changes its corporate form into a private limited company REO INDUCTIVE COMPONENTS AG.
Sales and service offi ce opens in Spain, REO-ESPANA 2002 S.A.
Sales and service offi ce opens in Poland, REO CROMA Sp.zo.o.
2003   Sales and service offi ce opens in China.
REO PRÜFTECHNIK GMBH is incorporated into REO INDUCTIVE COMPONENTS AG.
2004   Acquisition of the company NIEKE in Hennigsdorf and its incoporation into REO INDUCTIVE COMPONENTS AG.
2005   Set-up of production site in China, REO Shanghai Inductive Components Co., Ltd.
2006   Sales offi ce and production site opens in India, NEEL REO SYSTEMS PVT. LTD.
Representative office opens in Moscow, Russia
