Soft Starters
Soft starters are used on equipment that causes a high current inrush during start-up. Typical examples are large fans, compressors, lifts or chillers. Sometimes they are also used for smooth stopping and starting of conveyors and pumps. REO offer two types of control methods for soft starting; phase-angle control or current limiting. The latter technique employs microprocessor technology.
