A control unit that drives a DC motor in response to a material level sensor. When the sensor calls for material, the motor is switched on after an adjustable time delay (0.1....15 sec.). When sufficient product is detected by the sensor, the motor is switched off after an adjustable time delay (0.1....15 sec.). An enable input is provided for interlocking with other devices, so that the belt hopper can only be operated e.g. if the upstream equipment is also switched on.
The trimmers for setting the On/Off time delays are accessed by removing protective inserts from the front panel. LEDs are provided to indicate the sensor status and motor output status.
The housing gives IP54 protection and is provided with a mains switch, a cable and a connector socket for the motor supply. There is also a 5-pin socket for control (enable) and a 4-pin socket for the sensor.
