Variacs & Rheostats

When an electricity supply is unstable it can cause problems with equipment that is designed to run within normal voltage fluctuation tolerances. Sometimes, particularly with test and calibration systems a limited or controllable voltage range is required. A voltage stabiliser is used to provide a constant supply voltage, that can be controlled from a set point input.

We manufacture a wide range of variable transformers (880 kVA is the biggest we have built up till now). Two methods of construction are used; toroidal and column, depending on the power rating required.
Output is virtually stepless and there is no sine wave distortion. Motorised adjustment is available for all models.
