Southern Manufacturing 2013 – Show Review

Last week, REO exhibited at the SMEC show in Farnborough, UK.

The  show is the largest industrial exhibition in the UK and has a diverse range of exhibitors and a excellent standard of attendees. Geographically most of our customers are concentrated in the North of England and this show was a good opportunity to demonstrate our knowledge and expertise to companies in the London area.

REO chose to exhibit, current transformers, water cooled products, REOTRON SMP and some elements from the REOMED range.

We are pleased to say that we had concrete enquiries in every product sector and calls for customer visits and further information. We had particular interest in water cooled chokes and resistors and have many follow up meetings to arrange.

Our stand was  relatively small at 2 m x 4 m but there was a lot of products, literature  and graphical content which made a good impact. We thank the marketing team in Solingen as usual for their input and fast response to our requests for assistance on this point.  However, next year we will try and have even more products on the stand as this seemed the best way of attracting people to converse so we could explore their requirements and interests.

Overall we would rate the show as a success and will certainly look to exhibit at this show next year.
