REO Participates in Scholarship Scheme

REO receives a certificate for Deutschlandstipendium (German Public-Private Scholarship)

REO is again active as a sponsor of the Deutschlandstipendium in 2023/2024

On the evening of Thursday, November 9, 2023, the University of Wuppertal ceremoniously awarded the certificates for the Deutschlandstipendium at the Barmer Bahnhof Club, a popular cultural venue in the area of North Rhine-Westplalia.

A total of 72 sponsors and 245 students were present at the event. This year, on the 12th anniversary of the program, the number of sponsors has nearly tripled since its inception, and the number of scholarship recipients has reached a new record. The rapidly growing scholarship program is attracting more and more companies from the region, and for the first time, private individuals have also become involved in the program.

REO AG is proud to announce that we will again sponsor the Deutschlandstipendium in the upcoming academic year 2023/2024 and we are delighted to have Mr. Marius Benedikt Breuer as this year’s scholarship recipient. Mr. Breuer is an exceptional electrical engineering student who has shown great promise. As part of our commitment to supporting young talent, Mr. Breuer will have the opportunity to visit REO in December 2023. During his visit, we will discuss potential employment opportunities as a working student, internships, and his final thesis.

The Deutschlandstipendium, a German public-private scholarship, supports highly talented students at all participating universities in Germany. This scholarship is awarded without considering personal or parental income, and nationality does not impact the eligibility for the award. Moreover, the scholarship funds do not count towards grants awarded under the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG), and no social insurance contributions are required.
