The son of the founder of our company Mr Gert von Wolff sadly passed away on the 26th October 2009. He was 85 years old.

€1 MILLION TEST EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED BY REO FOR BEIJING OLYMPIC FAST TRAIN

An order valued in excess of € 1m for a system to test electronic equipment was supplied to the China Academy of Railway Sciences (CARS) by REO for use in the development of the Olympic Fast Train. It is used for final testing of train components to verify performance compliance, which is critical with the train traveling at speeds up to 300 km / h. The REO test equipment was employed successfully for the initial six Fast Trains and is now being used for an additional 60 trains.

For those of you who don't know, John Symonds started REO UK 20 years ago in a small office in Craven Arms. Time has passed and we are now seven people occupying about 10 times the floor space and John has been elevated to Chairman of REO Elektronik.

Around 90% of the company's business is for the food industry, the remainder going to the hardware market for handling small components. All of the company's machines employ vibrating feeder systems to transport product between feed delivery systems and weighing stations. On many of these machines, the feeders are controlled by vibration controllers from REO UK.
