Tested safety thanks to UL certification

UL-CERTIFIED REO COMPONENTS

Reliability, safety and durability are three essential properties that REO products meet. In order to prove this to our customers in the form of certifications and standards, REO offers UL certified products.

The issuing of certificates by the American UL (Underwriters Laboratories) roughly corresponds to the European CE mark. However, the manufacturers usually declare compliance with the CE regulations of their own accord, while the award of the UL test mark is preceded by an independent certification by UL.

For this purpose, UL develops standards and procedures to test products, materials and components in terms of safety with regard to compliance with standards. A typical standard for electrical goods includes requirements for electrical safety, flammability, and checks for potential mechanical hazards. If all safety standards are complied with, the products may bear a UL mark.

This is either a UL Listing mark or a UL Recognized Component mark. The UL listing test mark is proof that the UL has tested representative samples of the corresponding product and confirmed its compliance with the applicable safety requirements. The UL Recognized Component test mark means that a component recognized by UL can be used in a product or system that bears the UL Listing test mark.

In order to ensure a long-term standard, UL tests unannounced products and production facilities. UL-tested products from REO have therefore not only proven their usability and low-risk operation under strict test standards but also stand for transparent and high-quality products in the REO plants. An example of this is the CNW series from REO with the insulation system E251513 or a large selection of REO transformers.
