Steve Hughes
Managing Director
Steve has lead REO UK since 2007, guiding the business through sustained growth while keeping a strong focus on long-term customer partnerships
Outside work, he enjoys weight training, going to concerts, and travelling around Europe, especially to Fuerteventura. His dream was to play guitar in a heavy metal band, but now, once he has retired, he would like to run a brewery and name his own beers.
Michelle Gillam
Operations Manager
Michelle joined REO in 1994, and she balances a busy role with life as a wife and mum of two. As a long standing team member, she brings warmth, enthusiasm, and reliability.
Outside of work Michelle loves live music, enjoys sunny holidays, long walks, and the “occasional” cocktail with friends!
Tim Newcombe
Product Support Engineer
Tim has been part of REO since 2005 and brings a strong background in business & electronics. If you have a technical question, he’s your go-to person!
Outside of work, Tim is a big football fan. He follows Shrewsbury Town, and Manchester United, and attends games whenever he can. When he’s not cheering from the stands, you’ll find him enjoying hobbies like cake making, running, and hitting the gym.
Lucas Hughes
Sales Development
Lucas is responsible for website maintenance and marketing activities. He supports the business by helping to strengthen REO’s online presence and assisting in generating new customer opportunities
Outside of work, Lucas can usually be found in the gym, but he also has a growing interest in cars – his dream car being a Lexus LFA – and enjoys travelling. He’s steadily ticking off the countries on his bucket list and is always keen to explore new places.
Max Hughes
Accountant
Max is our newest employee, having started in 2025, he is always looking for new and innovative ideas to bring to the company.
In his free time he enjoys playing video games and is keen on hiking and camping. Max’s favourite TV show is ‘Peep Show’, and he has seen the programme 12 times… and counting!
Stuart Dix
Warehousing
Stuart oversees all warehouse activity. He keeps the warehouse running smoothly so customers receive the right products at the right time.
After a career in business banking Stuart brings calm judgement and healthy scepticism to REO. A Lancaster Uni graduate, he loves Test cricket, has an encyclopaedic grasp of rock music, collects vinyl enthusiastically, and maintains a well-researched fondness for proper real ale.
Liam Bird
Quality Manager
Liam joined REO in 1999 and has become a much-loved team member. He’s worked on diverse range of projects; everything from pumps for golf courses, to componentry for nuclear submarines.
Outside work Liam is a motoring writer, photographer, lifelong traveller and still has aspirations to learn to fly.
Alan Holmes
Production Engineer
Alan is a production engineer with a focus on REOVIB and experience across most product ranges. He’s been with the company for 27 years and has qualifications in electronics engineering
Alan has been interested in all types of engineering, including electronics and mechanical, since he was young. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and country pursuits.
