Agricultural machinery
The electrification of agricultural machinery offers great advantages in terms of maintenance intensity, reliability, immediate provision of power and, of course, zero-emission and low-noise use. With REO components, drive solutions can be implemented efficiently and trouble-free and offer a high level of protection against dust, dirt, moisture and adverse weather conditions.
Thanks to the use of durable materials, various protective coatings and full potting technology, tailor-made solutions for different protection classes can be realised. Whether in electrically powered tractors or in the research of hydrogen-powered solutions, REO components such as our water-cooled brake resistors ensure trouble-free operation.
Urban mobility
Whether it’s electric buses in the city, e-scooters, electric golf carts or even e-race cars and air taxis, REO components can be found in many modern electric mobility solutions. Chokes and EMC filters ensure trouble-free operation in buses and trains, and braking resistors in golf carts ensure reliable monitoring of battery performance during operation.
Our extremely robust resistors, resistant to external influences (up to IP69K) as air- or water-cooled variants, are used in electric buses as brake resistors, heaters or as a combination.
Heavy machinery and commercial vehicles
When electrifying heavy machinery such as excavators, mining trucks, wheel loaders or vans, special requirements apply to the performance and protection classes of the components used. This type of industrial system is used all over the world under intense external influences. From salty air to the finest dust to sand or mud, all REO components must ensure trouble-free and low-maintenance operation.
The REO components for the electrification of heavy machinery are offered in a wide range of products up to a protection class value of IP66. To enable this protection in the long term, inductive electrical components, for example, are equipped with full encapsulation.
Highlight of e-mobility
In many e-mobility applications, conventional air cooling quickly reaches its limits – especially when power density is high and installation space is restricted. Liquid-cooled REO components ensure reliable heat dissipation even under extreme conditions.
The cooling medium flows directly around the component, keeping temperatures stable and enabling high continuous loads. This improves efficiency and extends the service life of the entire system.
