Thanks to the use of high-quality materials and many years of experience in the production of components such as air chokes, engine chokes, filters and braking resistors, REO products

ensure safe functionality even under the special conditions of shipping, for example in the treatment of ballast water. The REO components undergo salt spray and water tests and are available up to a protection class of IP69K.

The products thus meet the high requirements of marine technology and offer reliable functionality for use in ports (e.g. in cranes and vehicles), in offshore applications and in other maritime areas such as oil rigs.

REO products are used worldwide under extraordinary conditions – be it in extreme temperatures, in dirty environments, on the high seas or even at an altitude of 3,000 meters. External influences such as water, salt, dust, gases and corrosive media as well as mechanical influences such as vibrations or oscillations must not impair the functionality of the products. The REO components from the heavy-duty sector are specially designed for such environmental influences. Their special design ensures maximum protection against mechanical, chemical or biological influences and ensures a high level of functional reliability and a long service life.

Thanks to our many years of experience, REO products are known to be reliable for many years, even in the harshest conditions. To ensure the safety of people and components, REO uses high protection classes. We offer a protection class value of up to IP69K for a large part of our product range.

Our components have to prove their durability under extreme test conditions. These include shock and vibration tests, salt spray tests, cold and heat tests, and tests for waterproofing and fire protection.
