REO UK has announced its attendance at the Annual Operating Theatres Show 2026, where the company will present a range of specialist medical power, isolation and electrical protection technologies developed to support the safe and reliable operation of modern operating theatre environments.
Organised by the Institute of Government & Public Policy, the event brings together clinical leaders, theatre managers, perioperative specialists and healthcare technology professionals to explore the latest developments in theatre efficiency, patient safety and surgical innovation.
At this years exhibition, REO UK will focus on technologies designed to help healthcare organisations address increasing demands related to electrical safety, protection against electrical interference, equipment reliability, and the growing complexity of digitally connected medical systems in operating theatres.
A central focus on the REO stand will be the company’s established REOMED range of medical isolation transformers . Designed specifically for healthcare and clinical environments, the REOMED series combines galvanic isolation, low leakage current, and robust construction to meet the requirements of standards such as IEC/EN 60601-1.
As operating theatres continue integrating increasing numbers of electronic devices, imaging systems, network-connected technologies and high-frequency power electronics, REO believes that electrical noise, transient protection and power quality are becoming increasingly important considerations for both equipment manufacturers and hospital engineering teams.
REO will also highlight technologies intended to support the safe integration of Ethernet and communications infrastructure within medical environments. The company’s REOMED ISONET solution has been developed to provide additional electrical isolation within Ethernet-based systems, supporting applications where patient safety, equipment protection and reliable wired communication remain critical. Alongside isolation technologies, REO UK will discuss wider power quality and electrical filtering solutions intended to help minimise interference, improve electrical robustness and support the reliable operation of sensitive medical equipment within demanding critical environments.
Stephen Hughes, Managing Director of REO UK LTD, commented: “Operating theatres are becoming increasingly dependant on sophisticated electronic and network-connected technologies, all of which place greater emphasis on electrical safety, protection against electrical interference and reliable system operation. Events such as the Operating Theatres Show provide an important opportunity to engage directly with theatre managers, EBME teams and healthcare specialists to discuss the practical engineering challenges associated with these environments. Our focus is on supporting the safe and reliable operation of medical electrical systems through robust, practical and standards-conscious engineering solutions.”
The REO team will be available throughout the event to discuss application-specific requirements including electrical isolation, harmonic mitigation, electrical interference reduction and bespoke transformer solutions for medical and laboratory equipment. Visitors attending the Annual Operating Theatres Show 2026 are invited to meet the REO team on stand 30 to discuss current projects, future requirements and emerging trends within healthcare electrical infrastructure and operating theatre technology.
